In January of 1998 new legislation went into effect regarding Family Division. This legislation changed the division of duties assigned to the Circuit Court. Cases previously assigned to the Probate Court were transferred to the Circuit Court - Family Division. Since these files were located in West Olive, it was determined that they should remain there and the judges would alternate between Grand Haven and West Olive. Therefore the Clerk's Office maintains files in both locations.
