Aerial Photos

2008 Aerials

In late 2008/early 2009, a new set of photos will be available in three different formats. In a collaborative effort with Muskegon County, the IT Department obtained aerial photos from Kucera, Inc. The photo flight occurred in April 2008 and utilized a digital camera (ADS40) instead of a film camera, which had been used for all of Ottawa County’s previous aerial photo flights. The 2008 photos feature a 6-inch pixel resolution (1 inch = 50 feet) and are available in color, infrared, and black and white. For digital copies (.tiff), the photos will be available on a per tile basis, with the color and infrared photos priced at $15.00 per tile and the black and white photos priced at $10.00 per tile. The photos will also be available for purchase for an entire local unit or the entire County in a MrSID format.

2004 Aerials

Photos from an April 2004 flight are available on a per tile basis. These black and white photos feature a 6-inch pixel resolution (1 inch = 50 feet). The tiles are available in digital format (.tiff) and are priced at $10.00 per tile. For more information on our pricing schedule please contact us or view the digital pricing schedule for other data layers. The photos can also be purchased for an entire local unit or the entire County in a MrSID format.

1999 Aerials

Black and white aerials from April 1999 are available in digital format (.tiff) or printed versions. We provide them at either 100 scale for certain quarter sections or 200 scale for all sections. These aerials are available from our department (IT Department). The photos can also be purchased for an entire local unit or the entire County in a MrSID format.

Historical Aerials

Historical aerial photos are available from 1973, 1984, 1989, and 1994 (all flights occurred in April). In 2008, the IT Department obtained scans of these photos (which included 3,700 mylar sheets) and the digital copies are now available for purchase. The price of these aerials are $10.00 per print or for a .tiff file. They can be purchased either by quarter section or by full section. In the future, the historical aerials will also be available for purchase for an entire local unit.
