Dog Licensing

The Ottawa County Dog License Program changed to include one-year and three-year licenses and licenses are available for purchase throughout the year. If the license is not purchased by the last day of the month in which the rabies vaccination expires, the license will be considered delinquent on the first day of the next month and a delinquent fee of $15.00 will be added to the cost of the license. To qualify for a three-year license the dog must have just received a three-year rabies vaccination.

As a courtesy, the Treasurer's Office will mail license renewal applications the month before the license expires. Licenses are conveniently available:

Veterinarians & Local Governments Selling Dog Licenses

In conjunction with the Ottawa County Treasurer, the following veterinarians and local government units have decided to provide an extra service to their customers through the issuing of dog licenses. This list is subject to change as either type of provider may chose to begin selling or stop selling licenses throughout the year.
