The Composite Technician course is offered through Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) and the training class is offered on-site at Energetx Composites. Energetx Composites is a world-class, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The company manufactures composites components for wind energy, defense, aerospace and the marine industries.
As a Composites Technician you will be an integral part of an emerging industry. As a member of the Energetx Composites team you will work in a manufacturing facility which operates as the tip of the spear in the wind energy sector as well as the aerospace, alternate energy vehicles and marine industries.
Energetx Composites has created a composite lab facility for GRCC students’ use during their training course. Each course is split between classroom and lab time, placing a heavy focus on hands-on learning. With about 20 students present for the 80 hours of instruction that GRCC runs, the composites class begins with an introduction to the industry and covers topics such as quality parts production and the metric system, but it also focuses heavily on communication skills and teamwork.
Energetx Composites has already hired the majority of course graduates and is eager to begin talking with upcoming graduates to discuss opportunities available. Other companies in addition to Energetx Composites are interested in hiring Composite Technician graduates as well.
Energetx Composites is a company that demonstrates both forward thinking and social responsibility. Be a part of it! www.energetxcomposites.com.
