Telamon
The Telamon Corporation maintains a presence at the Michigan Works service center in Holland. Telamon staff will travel to the Grand Haven location of Ottawa County Michigan Works! by appointment. Telamon acts as an employment resource for migrant workers who want to move out of the field and into another employment situation.
Telamon has certain funds to help clients take classes such as English as a Second Language (ESL), General Education Degree (GED), and other classroom training.
The Telamon Corporation is a national organization but the local Ottawa County office maintains many local connections including LAUPE (Latin Americans United for Progress), Community Action House and the Migrant Resource Council among many others.
