There is no Local, State or Federal assistance available to cover private damage costs. The only assistance potentially available would be in the form of a Small Business Administration (SBA) Declaration, making low interest loans available to the private sector affected by the storm.
In order for Ottawa County to qualify for an SBA declaration, there must be a threshold of 25 or more homes/businesses that sustained a 40% or greater uninsured loss of building only. The loss of contents/personal property is not applicable.
